Guest guest
Fay~ I'm sorry you had to go through what the doctor dished out. I really do hope that your new doctor works out because you deserve to be heard and treated. Some doctors think they are the all knowing, but in all reality they are quacks. =-) Good luck with your new meds. fmq1964@... wrote: hello to all I wanted to comment about the celexa. When I took it I was very naseauated for about a month then it left. Well i found a new doctor because the doctor that prescribed the celexa was not very understanding of the fibro and so I had to change because I could not handle him saying that I just had to deal with the fibro becuase all the mdes I was on he was not going to change any or add any so I knew then that he was not for me. I had asked him about neurotin and he said no way. that i had to just learn to deal with it. (I have had fibro for I believe all my live but diagnosed in 1991 so you do not jussst tell me to deal with it. The new doctor that i went to talked to me for an hour. I have fibro fog very bad and so some things we talked about i could not understand but he seems to understand the pain that you feel. he took me off the celexa and put me on paxil but wants me to call him everyweek to tell him how i am doing and go back in a month. I am praying he is the one and he seems to be the one right now but i have had so much bad luck that i am really scared to say that. doctors can be so cruel. Maybe they need to have this for a day then they may understand. that is all it would take is a day then maybe we would get some sympathy and understanding. well i guess i went on and on enough for now ha ha bye for now. and good luck to everyone. Guest guest
Fay, Good luck with your new doctor. It sounds like you're on the right track, and I hope this doctor continues to be helpful. It's scary when you feel like there is no one to help you. Take care.

Guest guest
Has anyone had any experience post op with the drug Celexa. My doctor just prescribed it for me and I am always hesitant to start something new. I appreciate any type of input anyone has. Guest guest
I take an SSRI and find it works best for me to take one on top of bulk food or a shake and then don't drink for about 30 minutes so it has most time to absorb... > > Has anyone had any experience post op with the drug Celexa. I was on 20 mg a day for eight years, then last year, with all my attacks, I went up to 30 mg. (still a small dose by psych standards). I can really tell it takes the EDGE off my depression/anxiety. I have had NO side effects in the ten years. I ran out a couple of weeks ago (due to my mail order being LOST!!!), so I went three days without any - DON " T EVER QUIT COLD TURKEY!!! I went into severe nausea, shakes, and felt like I was going to pass out. My husband took me to the pharmacy at 9 pm. to get an emergency supply which I took right there at the counter. Then I took my next dose at 7 am. By the mid morning, I was feeling fine again. My dad is 86 and also takes Celexa. He started taking it when my mother passed away 15 years ago (they had been married 52 years!). He takes 40 mg. and does GREAT!!! It really helps with his depression. He calls them his " silly pills. " I think him knowing that I take them, as well, helps him to keep taking them (even though he says they don't do any good - THEY DO!!!) He would be a BASKET case - TRUST ME - without them. He is fit and in good health, otherwise... I am also sure weight is a factor - weigh 115# and take 30 mg. My dad weighs 200 and takes 40 mg. Cecilia Cecilia soce@...
