Hello all,

I have just received word from Tony Swartz-Lloyd that Judy Foreman, the syndicated medical journalist who wrote a recent piece on MSA in the Globe and elsewhere, will be our guest at the February 25 meeting. She will talk about covering unusual illnesses such as ours, how we can get more attention, and of course will take Q & A -- very informal. It will be a great opportunity to speak to an expert (aside from Tony, of course!) who can help us with ideas on how to get the word out. Judy will only be able to spend about half an hour with us, so we will still have plenty of time for our group "chat".

So far I have heard from the following people that they will attend:

McAuley (will be late)

Tony Swartz-Lloyd

& Diane Markey

& Maddie Viselli

Jim & Connie Bynum

Vivianne Kalman (tentative)

Rob & Carol Langer

If you are planning to attend and are not on this list, please let me know. I need to be sure we have enough seats and, of course, refreshments. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates.

Meeting details:

Date: Monday, February 25, 2001

Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Location: Lexington Senior Center

1475 Massachusetts Avenue

Lexington, MA

Please let me know if you plan to attend so I know how many people to expect. We will discuss how we would like the group to proceed and evaluate the adequacy of the facility. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Directions: From Route 128

Take exit 31, route 4 & 225 TOWARD LEXINGTON

Follow 4 & 225 (Bedford St.) into Lexington Center

Merge onto Massachusetts Avenue, continue through the Center about

0.5 miles

The Senior Center is in the back of the Muzzey Condominiums, a

large brick building (converted school) on the left. Parking is available

in the back of the building.

From Route 2

Take exit 54, Waltham Street and follow to the end (Lexington Center)

Turn right on Massachusetts Avenue, go 0.4 miles

The Senior Center is in the back of the Muzzey Condominiums, a

large brick building (converted school) on the left. Parking is available

in the back of the building.

Please note that I moved the meeting up to 1:00 PM to (hopefully!) avoid the traffic problems that people had after the last meeting.

PS -- If you are receiving this note twice it's because you are on my NE Area list and also on the yahoo groups list. Sorry for the duplication.
