Guest guest
Deb; Get better, you've got a few more rounds in you - astound us, please! ________________________________________________________ New med: Brand Name: Modulon Generic Name: Trimebutine -an anti-spasmodic used to treat irritable bowel syndrome, sedation/drowsiness are an expected side effect (in my case not applicable since I am incapable of being drowsy or sedated) I'm at the, thanks, doc, I'll try anything phase after many years (the first ten docotrs advised against using laxatives routinely, wish to God I'd not listened, they had no idea how bad it was). Suppositories don't work, nor to lastulose, fibre (makes it worse), milk of magnesia and so on. Well steeped senna tea at bedtime is some help and does soten it up. Not a problem of not drinking enough water, I practically drown. I'm to try the modulon for three days, if no change noted I should double that, at the end of 30 days if there is no improvement, we go to a new plan, I jjust hope this works. The bethanol chloride (Duvoid) I take to improve urinary function (urine production) works so well, saved my life, that was a stroke of genius, not heard of anyone else using it. (that makes it 21 pills a day) I do not ever seem to need increases of meds (for pain, sleep etc), recently I actually decreased the sleep meds because one pill worked as well as two. That goes against the whole dependance grain - is that another strange MSA feature. One more thing about the constipation - oil, greasy foods (olive oil, french fries, bacon) in generous amounts when I'm constipated helps 1 time out of three (possibly because I rarely eat greasy food). I avoid raw vegetables and fruit because I cannot pass gas either and distend to a painful degree. If nothing passes for three days I stop eating and only drink water, tea and coffee. In order for any of this to work I NEED stress-free mornings - no rushing, no socializing, no phone calls. aletta mes vancouver, bc Canada web: http://aletta.0catch.com
