Guest guest
OK, sounds like good schedule, except when I fuzz over my eyes and take the names of the food away, I see: protein vites sugar sugar tasty carbs (lunch) protein activity sugar sensible meal sugar ok, but empty calories I'd rather see the other half baked potato, all the butter you want and watermelon every other day. All that sugar is making you want nothing BUT sugar. So, while it looks healthy to a person who is not suffering from our disease, for US, it is a day of sugar, with 4 small respites (2 protein shakes --no milk or juice? and 2 non-sugar meals) Funny how that non-fat mentality has seeped into our every day life, making butter (which we malabsorb) bad and sugar good. So, this thinking is sabotaging your very noble and well intentioned efforts. I bought a hawaiian ice snow machine for $16 at Target yesterday too. Hopefully, this will replace my cravings for York peppermint patties. I don't eat sweets, junk food and such anymore but somewhere I developed this craving for peppermint and chocolate. I hope to start making shakes that taste like it. > > I have fallen into the bad habit of grazing so I am working on that. > I was working on the weekend...I am a nurse...and was unable to graze like I usually do. I lost 5 pounds between Saturday morning till Sunday night. Nice to know the pouch is working just fine. Alot of that loss might be just plain sweat but I was drinking like a fish. > > > Lap RNY 06/28/01 > 356/258/150? > 5'3 > > > > > > > > > Homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG > > Unsubscribe: mailto:Graduate-OSSG-unsubscribe > > > > >
Guest guest
Interesting. A good piece of fruit keeps me from craving my old nemesis, refined sugar, and fruit actually has nutritional value, while refined sugar does not. Just another illustration that while several people may have had the same procedure, each body may have a different post-op reaction. Thanks for the input! > >To: Graduate-OSSG > >Subject: Re: Monday Food and Activity. >Date: Tue, 23 Jul 2002 11:01:47 -0700 > >OK, sounds like good schedule, except when I fuzz over my eyes and take the >names of the food away, I see: >protein >vites >sugar >sugar >tasty carbs (lunch) >protein >activity >sugar >sensible meal >sugar >ok, but empty calories > >I'd rather see the other half baked potato, all the butter you want and >watermelon every other day.
