Jan,

The others will have to chime in on many of the questions you posed.

in Va just had dental work done and may have some comments.

I just wanted to address something that you didn't mention. I have OH

(bp problems) and I get a very bad reaction to the novocane. It makes

my heart rate and BP do all kinds of crazy things. So wanted to give

you a heads up on that, there is a new numbing medication, you may

want to check into that if he has OH or POTS etc. However I had to

tough out the pain because I was not aware of it at the time....hehe

they don't call me tuff broad for nothin'. The dentist did give me

some pre- surgery antibiotics to start before and continue after.Best

of luck...Rose

Jan: My huband Bob, the patient, had dental work done recently. The

dentist told him to discontinue the daily aspirin & he put him on an

antibiotic for a week. He had no problems. Hope this helps & good luck!

Thank you. You got me on the POTS, what is that? The OH I

understood and Jerry is affected by that and when he has an infection

the BP and his pulse really go all over the place. I don't know

about novacaine since he has not had any in a long time. I was

wondering if antibiotics are a good idea and I will now ask the Dr.

about starting them before the procedure. Of course, it seems we are

only off of antibiotics for a short while and then back on them

anyway.

Thank you Rose.
