Guest guest
Greetings ! I am also sending this to you directly, because this email is so very important. You MUST not let Jeff drive anymore. Period. You yourself state: > He has TERRIBLE sleep apnea, and it leaves him > exhausted in the morning. He's almost wrecked > the car a few times on his way to work because > he can't keep his eyes open, and he gets extremely > disoriented. , after this trip. Until Jeff gets fully treated for sleep apnea, do NOT let him drive. Find other ways to get him where he needs to go. It is that important. You do NOT understand how bad it is. You are afraid. But you honestly don't know. Please print this out for Jeff. Jeff, this is no joke. Get the sleep apnea treated before you drive again. I *KNOW* what I am talking about. I also struggled with this type of life threatening sleep apnea. Knowing the type of stress this level of sleep apnea places on your body, I suspect that if you get it under control, you will find the other symptoms will improve. Trust me on this. If I can do nothing else, I hope to help others with a similar situation understand how very critical it is to manage their sleep apnea. And with MSA patients, it appears trickier than with most folks. What to do about this? Insist that Jeff get a sleep study done as soon as possible. If he already had one, insist that he be retritrated (tested for the required pressure). You may also want to ask at the outset about BiPAP (BiLevel Positive Airway Pressure). Please do this as soon as possible. Trust me on this. Sleep apnea can be as bad or worse than a serious infection. Regards, =jbf= B.
