Guest guest
I did the same pre op . . . I had a wonderful counseling psychiatrist so she could hear changes and truly assess my needs. I was on Prozac temporarily, it did nothing for me and therefore she felt depression wasn't the accurate diagnosis, more like 'manic depression' in which I am usually in the high state, without the low crashes. She suggested if I lost the weight that the root cause would surface and she was right on . . . its been a wonderful journey and I am much more level, not nearly as hyper and I was able to discover the roots of my obesity and therefore I no longer struggle with the food obsession, the rebounds from dieting and numerous other things. I am at peace and there is finally enough and good enough in my life and in the mirror. ) Vicki In a message dated 9/19/2002 4:35:52 AM Pacific Standard Time, dbandas@... writes: > Maybe a little clarification....a psychiatrist, who is always a medical > doctor can prescribe meds.
