How interesting to have someone post that they never felt the

sensations and limitations others have experienced after wls! I am

the same way. I remember seeing my Dr. 2 weeks post op and asking

him if he was sure I really had the surgery. I took a banana and a

shot glass to his office, tried to put the banana in the shot glass

and asked " How is this possible? " He redened and explained that the

pouch was dynamic, a mere conduit to the intestines.

I have never had a capacity problem, food aversion or intolerance,

etc. I marvel when I read people can only eat 3 oz., or that they

dump. It's kind of sick when I almost envy people who throw up or

have to take supplements to get enough nutrition. Or how about the

people who lose so much, their hair falls out!

I've lost 120 pounds in 2 years. I'm doing the same exact thing I

did before surgery when I lost 60 pounds in 7 months (and regained

it, but I hopefully won't go there this time)...watching what I eat

(1200 cal or less) and exercising 5-6 times a week (1/2 hr. on bike,

30-45 min. weights/strength training and 30-45 minutes dog walking).

I now weigh 250, and despite my exercising and eating well, I am

again stuck. Trudge trudge trudge. I won't obsess about it. The

weight has to come off sooner or later (doesn't it?). Maybe I was a

Tibeten monk in my last life and only ate 300 calories a day, if

anything at all, and was a spiritual icon to the masses!

Well, I know I had the surgery because I paid for it. LOL I'm going

to try the modified fast for a couple of days and see if that jump

starts me, even though I kind of don't like to get into that not

eating normally/trying to manipulate things mentality.

Meanwhile, if nothing else, wls has brought me to you, and to a new

(almost, sometimes) relationship with my body. Hopefully where the

body goes, the mind will follow.
