Weight loss triggers bone loss. Astronauts have been reported to become

osteoporitic in FOUR WEEKS! Of course, they lose 100% of their wt at once.

Our only defense is calcium citrate, plus D, plenty of it, and weight

bearing exercise. And then the annual dexascan to see where the heck we are

and how much harder we have to work at it.

We lose fat (hopefully), we lose muscle, we lose bone. Unless we work very

diligently, we lose a bit of everything with every pound.
