Dear Dan - you will be happy to know that I am running for Nebraska

State Senator this November 5th, and I want to serve on the Health

and Human Services Committee and do just that. Being a nurse, I

have always been touched by the needs of others and especially the

morbidly obese since I am one of them.

Like everyone else here, having this surgery made it possible for me

to pursue my dreams and I will be on the frontier of obesity

legislation. Also for mental health issues including improved

reimbursement for treatment just like other physical diseases.

I won 41% of the vote in the Primary with 3 other opponents (we are

a nonpartisan legislature), so it is me and the guy closest that are

having a runoff in the General. I appreciate everyone's prayers and

positive thoughts for God's Will in my life. This group will be an

important resource for me!
