Guest guest
I can tell you my drs. opinion on them: one , he knows me well enough to know I try to get through the pain but sometimes I need a break. What's important is to know that htey can become less effective and that i kind of what addiction is (as opposed to the psychological it is physiologicl). So to make sure, you take breaks, just so it is not everyday - it gives your system a rest. When I worked in oncology heard a nasty health care worker say when the patient requested percocet, 'great, we are creating another addict. " That is nuts - my pharmacist friend says when your body needs them they don't work the same way as someone who does not need them. However, when i have to take them throughout a day and night due to excessive pai (as reccomended by my doctor) - i do wake up feeling much more orthostactic and with a headache from dehydration. So make sure you up your fluids.
