Guest guest
I guess I'm what number 6 or 7 on the list. I had my proximal RNY March 2000, so that's what about 2 1/2 years ago. This past January I started to climb on the scale. I had gotten to 143 (from 270), right where I wanted to be and now I'm at 178, that's 35 pounds. What's killing me, is I have tried dieting, exercising and protein drinks 3-4 times a day. It's not going away either, I may lose 2-3 pounds, but then it shows up again. So, Betty and the other 4 out there, your not alone. The thing that really sucks, is at 143, I was still barely in a size 12 (I'm 5'5 " too), now I'm having to hit the 18's to feel comfortable and in the 2 1/2 years I have not put anything good (sugary) in my mouth. I have a whole closet of size 14's that I can't wear, so I'm back to where I was before surgery, wearing big sloppy clothes, the same thing over and over, because I refuse to go out and spend a bunch of money on BIG clothes again. I don't know what to do, I stay depressed all the time over it. Gayle
