Guest guest
According to my doctor, frtequently what seems like and infection is inflammation from bladder retention. A culture should be done to make sure. Treatment for infection differes from inflamation, and too much anti-bacterial medication builds resistant bacteria, eventually little can be done for infection. Go to a urologist or at least insist on a culture to make sure which of the two you are dealing with. I have had only one UTI, but was given anti-bacterial medication twice when the problem really turned out to be retention related. The gp I have now is not so quick to use the prescription pad. I think that I would ask your Neurologist to send you to a urologist to see if there is something else that he thinks should be done for these bladder infections that you are getting. ... Take Care Vera Subject: I need help concerning bladder infections Hi all, I know that we have talked several times on here about bladder infections but I was wondering does someone with this disease have to take antibiotics longer than a " normal " person does. I have had a bladder infection took antibiotic for 5 days and then started feeling better to just start hurting real bad again after 3 or 4 days. I then go back on the antibiotic and continue with this process. My neurologist said this isn't his job and my internist knows about infections but not MSA or CBGD. I have put information about it in my folder but I think that is as far as it got. If you can help me with this I would appreciate it. Thanks and God bless, Belinda If you do not wish to belong to shydrager, you may unsubscribe by sending a blank email to shydrager-unsubscribe
