Guest guest
Deborah, We have heard of yeast infections several times (often from antibiotics). We have also heard of candida infections, but I have not heard of Yeast Overgrowth Syndrome specifically. The diet sounds like a fruit and veggie diet to me. Can't be all bad ) I think there are medicines for yeast infections and it seems to me I heard that yogurt had bacteria which was good at fighting the yeast infections, but I'm not sure. Guest guest
On pain of being accused of witchcraft: Yogurt and buttermilk - I had an extensive yeast infections (systemic) several (10) years ago, my friendly neighbourhood doctor told me to avoid citrus for two months, drink no alcohol and consume lots of yogurt and buttermilk. Result I was clear within two months. I still drink plenty of buttermilk, no yeast infections the entire time - I was also told, proper bowel movements and no enemas, as they strip valuable bacteria and other organisms from your digestive tract. Guest guest
Bill, I don't have a yeast infection or thrush at present (unless it is hidder or masked like the doc implies) and have not had one since February. That is one of the reasons that I was asking questions about it. Part of me wants to say that this is a logical suggestion that I have not thought of while the other part of me just says.... snake oil salesman.... Ya know? I'll check out the links and you are right, the diet is a healthy one. went to the grocery store and came home with no meat and no bread and no alcohol and still spent $150.00. He is still in shock. Guest guest
Hi Deborah, Years ago I knew a physician, an MD who practiced homeopathic medicine. Several friends saw this gentleman as their physician and one thing I always remember was the issue of Yeast. He was always putting them on yeast free diets. He claimed that a lot of problems could be contributed to yeast. They all said they felt better when they were on the diet. More than that I do not know. I believe the physician moved somewhere back East. I will see if I can find out anything more. Hope you are having a good day. See you at chat time? Guest guest
Bill & Jan, Thanks for the information. I don't see how the diet could hurt me because it is a healthy diet. I did forget to metntion that he wants both me and my husband to take nystantin 3 times a day for yeast. After all that I have been through, I am very leary of someone offering me a "possible miricle cure" and/or giving me any more pills. After 2 hospitalizations due to drug reactions and constantly fighting reactions daily, I am almost to the point of sheer paranoia when it comes to taking more pills. Is Nystantin safe to take with my other meds? Right now, here is what I take: From: "janburg88" Reply-To: shydrager To: shydrager Subject: Re: Yeast Overgrowth Syndrome????
