Guest guest
Betty: This question comes up repeatedly, and unfortunately the answer is usually " not significantly. " It will get healthier and perhaps a little less, but not nearly in the measure most of us really want. Folklore runs rampant in this particular area, like if you lose slowly, the skin will have time to adjust, etc. Unfortunately, reconstructive surgery is not only expensive, but is another round of risk and inconvenience, sometimes messier than WLS. Some of us choose to do it, others live happily without it. My $.02 of advice is to wait and choose your battles carefully. in Austin RNY April 1998 Have to ask... > I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. Guest guest
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. I was curious about all the sagging skin. My doctor asked me a few weeks ago what I saw when I looked in the mirror. I told him the truth that I saw a Charpei! But I felt GREAT! Now.... this Charpei in the mirror..... I was curious..... does this skin ever tighten up?????? I'm not just talking about the apron (which should be removed .... unfortunately my insurance will not cover it... so I have to live with it.. *sigh* and keep tucking it in my clothes.. LOL) but I'm referring to the loose skin on my buttocks, thighs and off my back... will it ever tone up? I'm 44.... Thank you, Betty ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` We're all Dysfunctional.... ...... Get over it!!!!!!
