It is made from the stevia leaf. I found it at Wild Oats Marketplace. In my

opinion, it does not taste " sweet. " I added it to coffee and the coffee

took on a chemical-type flavor that is hard to describe, but was definitely

not sweetened coffee. Just one woman's opinion.

When I need to sweeten my coffee, for example, I now use crystalline

fructose (also found at Wild Oats Marketplace in a 5 lb bag for

approximately $8.99). A 5 lb bag lasts a long, long, long time. I keep it

in an airtight container because, even though it is granulated like sugar,

it is quite a bit more moist than sugar and tends to clumb easily.

Stevia is an herb. Grows kinda like mint?

I use the tablets, myself. I tried liquid & shakable as sweetener & it

didn't impress me. I just take 2 tablets a day (as pills).
