Guest guest
Fred: it is good that can still see your favorite car from time to time I had a '38 Chevy pickup truck briefly, while I was in college ( Early '70s) everything changes and we move on. I'm sure there is some sadness associated with a loss of something you were probably very physically engaged. It had been put together by the students at a local community college it had a corvette 283 engine, bored out of course, and a racing cam that made it idle rough, the rear end from a Plymouth car, four barrel carburetor and, four speed transmission. The tires were wide in the back, actually implement tires the whole thing was probably very dangerous. it could do a wheely a foot off the ground. I mostly drove it sedately in the country, on gravel roads. I sold it, with a paint job, to some one that took it to a dragstrip in Minneapolis and blew up the engine. digressing down memory lane Ray Strand -------------------------------------------- FVJAMES@... wrote: Hi Everyone:Sorry I haven't been posting lately. Wish I could of gotton on for the chat yesterday, but my son was doing some stuff on my computer yesterday and I didn't get the chance to get on all day. He did download a picture of the car Fred build , but after all the work Fred got the MSA and that was the first thing he got rid of. One of our friends has it now, so it's not far from here and we see it driving down the street from time to time. So It's not like Fred's dream car is completely gone. Just not parked here anymore. Just wanted to see what three years of hard work looked like. Fred always dreamed of a 56 chev, but ended up with this 32 3window ford coupe. He would say it was my car, but then when he talked about it, it was his car. I always wanted to get a tag that said "Who's 32" , but didn't get the chance.Anway this is Fred and his 32Hugs VeraIf you do not wish to belong to shydrager, you may unsubscribe by sending a blank email to shydrager-unsubscribe
Guest guest
Vera, I am so sorry that you got the dreaded flu. It was horrible! I feel for you. I pray that you are feeling a lot better now. I love that car. I have never seen one like it before. I am glad that you and Fred still get to see it ever so often since so much love and sweat went into it.
