They have flavors. I use the honey-flavor. This is a liquid protein = 30 gm protein, think the sugar was a trace.... I just put this ounce or so in my water bottle with a splash of flat-diet-orange-soda & fill to the rim with H2O. or put in the blender with frozen blackberries, a small scoop of cool whip & lowfat blackberry yogurt. (or other berries & other yogurts) YUM. Barb B.

I love Whole Foods' Soy Protein powder and add it to apple juice and throw in some strawberries, but that's a lot of sugar ... even though it's natural. This mix has been the overall BEST for me ... I can stomach it ... no ... it's like a treat for me. I HATE canned protein drinks ... did I mention the word hate! LOL ---------------------------------- I suppose one has to go with what " works " for you, but soy protein is not as readily absorbed as whey protein. The latter has many other benefits as well. If by " canned " you mean ready-to-drink, well---- there's lotsa other stuff out there that comes in powder form that you mix with water (I never add anything else bcuz all else adds calories). For a good overview of shake mixes that are suitable for the WLS population (low sugar, low carbs, high protein, low calories, etc), visit vitalady.com. The site has descriptions of all the shake mixes she carries. You can also order single serving samples of most of them to try out; the only place I know where you can do that. It gets darned expensive ordering tubs of stuff to try, only to find out they make u wanna gag. Regards, Carol A
