Guest guest
Belinda, Report the bastard! I believe the oath says " do no harm " some doctors forget this. A few doctors develope God complexes, but at least God knows he/she's not a doctor " . Trashing you, is not his job, healing should be. I've reported a doctor that treated me this way not once but several times. I'm still waiting for the hearing (been 5 months). Jerk never thought I would file a complaint, let alone document a lot of it. The backlash of reporting has been that a number of doctors refused me as a patient after the complaint was filed. If you're up to it, do what you think is right, it gives you back a little dignity. My doc also teaches, and that is what I want stopped, he's inspiring others to behave in the me man you victim/weaker sex type. What did it for me was that my daughter told me he had treated her in the same manner, until then I was actually believing I might be over-reacting. Ran it by my X, who had referred to him as Dr. Mengele, apparently he and his then girlfriend had complaints about him to. Well, someone had to do something. So I did. That was two years that my symptoms could have been better treated. It will be some time before I can find docs who will treat me without reservations. I am not out to get doctors in general, some of my favourite people are doctors, but attitudes, especially in teachers, are catching. All it takes for evil to thrive is for good men (and women) to do nothing. Since I've done this before, feel free to run things by me, if you like. To help yourself, do not mention seeing this doc to the next one, his reports (get your own copy if you can) could taint objectivity (did in my case). He told another doctor that I was simply malicious, lucky for me the doctor he told this to had known me a long time. If I'd been malicious I would have found a lawyer. I think patients be interviewed on videotap about these sort of experiences and played back to med student, or let us speak to them before they are sent out there. If that were to come out of my complaint I would be absolutely happy. Incidentally, I'd tell your mother and husband all of it. I've always rinsed my son's cath bags and hoses in 50/50 bleach/water, brief soak in water vinegar and hang to dry, every day. He never had an infection while in my care (but did in hospital). My MSA has been about the same in the past three years. Before that it was downhil only sometimes a little sometimes a lot and always totally unexpected. Stressful events, over doing it and infections make it very much worse. I do adhere strictly to living carefuly and using it rather than losing it. Lots of tips on system management here with the group. Will try to do the chat room tomorrow. Still all new to me but about time I learn how. aletta mes, vancouver, bc canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Site: http://www.aletta.0catch.com
