Guest guest
Thanks for the replies about quinine. I am the caretaker, and once in a while I get a cramp in the calf of one leg or in the arch of one foot, and boy, I didn't know this 75 year old body could get out of bed so fast and stand upright--that works in a flash--just dangling the leg doesn't work. I haven't felt the need for quinine or any medication. Of course, I doubt standing up would work if both sides were afflicted. As an aside, I do remember an event years and years ago when I got up from the couch, and apparently both legs were asleep and I went catapulting across the living room, fell against the coffee table and broke it--the coffee table, that is. Funny. My husband and kids laughed, and I did too after a while. Lou Reynolds
