Guest guest
Lou, They go directly into the stomach near the navel. However the PEG goes from the inside the stomach to the outside (through the throat). A " G " tube goes from the outside into the stomach. Either way fluids go directly into the stomach and bypass the throat. http://www.bayinsider.com/shared/health/adam/ency/article/002937.html http://www.gicare.com/pated/eistftpt.htm Take care, Bill Werre -------------------------------------------------- lou Reynolds wrote: > I don't know exactly what a feeding tube is--does it go in through the > mouth or through the stomach? Guest guest
That web site spells out what I could not remember Percutaneous -Endoscopic-Gastrotomy. That's where the peg comes from and is is through the skin. Ginger Re: Peg tubes and Initials > Lou, > > They go directly into the stomach near the navel.
