Guest guest
Pam Bower Thanks for your reply and the information sites.....very helpful.Lorraine will be 79 this July and me 81 in Aug. She never had a tremor but had orthostatic hypotension even before the Parkinson's diagnosis and never bothered her until she got so much worse after knee replacment surgery in 1997. Then wasdiagnosed 2 yrs. ago after an incident when trying to get her up in the AM,would not respond (said later she could hear us but could not move; she was hospitalizedand after CAT scan, MRI and other tests her neurologist said; shy-drager rather than Parkinson's after treatment for PD for about 12 yrs. She gets so rigid she can no longer walk without help or uses wheelchair. has had numerous falls trying to get up without help& several broken bones. So we have help here most of the time partly due to my problems too. Lorraine seems to be so tired and weak all the time and often keeps her eyes closed and now speaks so soft and low ,I can hardly hear (we both have hearing aids too). She had urinary problems (frequency & UTI's but has had some help with macrodantin (continuing) and Detrol. For the OH using florinef and proamatine; for constipation, stool softner, 2!/2 senokot tabs daily; bran flakes too Well, I hope I havn't bored you too much with all this rambling. Thanks again.
