kidney stones and caffiene

I just had surgery to remove a kidney stone in September. The

urologist told me that it really didn't matter if I drank coffee or

pop, but to make sure I drank all the water I could. He also told me

that kidney stones can be a side effect of wls. He didn't say why,

but I will ask next time I see him. I have to go thru some study to

test my kidneys to see what kind of stones I may be prone to. It may

be hereditary.
