Guest guest
Reading your post about heavy blankets being painful - Ned (my husband) has complained for years about blankets causing pain -- and so when we got a hospital bed 7 years ago we starting draping the blankets over the raised side rails and " clamping " the bottom sheet or blanket to the side rails using clamps from Ned's workbench. Works like a charm. If extra blankets are needed in the winter, we just lay them on top of the one that is clamped to keep the weight up off of his legs. Hopefully this idea will help you or someone on the list. .........Judy

Guest guest
Judy, Charlotte also complained of that same problem and I stuffed a pillow at the bottom of the bed between the panel and the mattress, then stuffed the sheet and blanket in to hold it up on the pillow which kept it off her toes. Like a tent.
