If its a nosy nancy, that's one repsonse. if it is a depairing person, that's another response. If its a stranger, if its a relative, the response of most post-ops is predicated on how they feel about that person. This is not only permitted, it is proper. In psychology it is called 'having boundaries. " Except of course for the grand mal extrovert, that is (grin)-- they relate to the outer world with ease and often, especially when exhilarated, tell everybody, EVERYTHING--even when they haven't been asked. Sometimes even usually circumspect introverts " broadcast " in all ddirections also when they are temporarily flushed with happiness. (the difference is, they feel poorly about it afterward--grin) There is no one answer for everyone; it is a lot like the body, each one has different needs and different responses. Generally speaking, responding to whatever in life with what your soul can live with and would be pleased by, is often a good idea. love, ceep, G-MOM
