Guest guest
Hi Jim: Thanks for the information on the Lactulose. I"ll add it and the Sodium Docusate to the list. Neither is on the it. Glad to hear that Peg is getting off the cast soon. I know it drove my son nut's when he had one on his hand. He drank enough milk to fill a cow, hoping that it would help heal the bone and get that cast off sooner. Must of worked because he got it off two weeks sooner then the doctor said. Do you think Peg is coming down with a UTI to have gone into the restroom so much? These short night can really do us in ,can't they? I had one the other day with Fred. Not easy getting a 256 lb man out of bed every hour and our bed is as high as my hips. It's got to be hard for you to have to worry about work and then also Peg. I have to give credit to those of you who do both. Not sure I could do it . It can't be easy . I hope Peg has a better night . take care Vera ******************** Hi Vera, Our experience is like Ginger's. The doctor at the clinic had to prescribe it. It's used by some on a regular basis. Lately we use it on an intermitant basis. By the way do you have stool softener on your list? It's also called sodium docusate. You can get it otc. Bill has mentioned it several times. Peg now takes 4 100 mg tablets a day. It's quite inexpensive. Peg's cast is scheduled to come off a week from next Tuesday. She really wants to get rid of it now. Peg's having a bad evening. She's been to the bathroom about 10 times and been up and down to bed about four or five times. Right now she's asleep in her chair. Especially bad for me as I was up most of last night thinking about how to deal with a couple of personnel problems at work.
