Guest guest
> How much in protein supps are you doing? Can you locate some L- arginine in > addition to 120g protein supps? > Hi , Prior to PS I had been having 1 protein bar a day as amid afternoon snack because I've always had a hard time drinking the shakes (w/ water, not milk products) I was taking in about 75 g's a day between meals and the bar. Since PS I've added a second bar but decreased my food intake because I'm just not hungry and I'm struggling to make the protein choices. My head is crying out for salty snacks for some reason and I'm working hard to avoid that pitfall. Right now I'd have to say I'm around 90 g's a day. Looks like I'll have to try and add the liquid because it sounds like I need quite a bit more if I'm going to up it to 120 g's. Always good advice and I should have known better. Thanks! I've never heard of L-Arginine. Can you tell me about this? Thanks again, ! Trish
Guest guest
Just a quick note to everyone who replied to me...THANK YOU!!! I called my PS today and explained the way my incisions are/aren't healing that well. He will se me first thing on Friday, but in the meantime he wants me to cleanse the area at least twice if not 3 times a day and use Neosporing Plus. Then cover with a dressing and keep it dry (Yucky sink baths!). Since nothing is oozing and the coloring of the wound is not showing any signs of infection, he wanted me to make sure I was doing this so as to prevent infection. I'm not feverish and I don't have any real pain, just tenderness so I'm taking his advice and holding off until my Friday appointment. However he did caution me that should anything change, especially the coloring and tenderness of the skin, to have him paged and he will meet me to check it out right away. I guess I feel better about this and I thank everyone who shared their experience with me. It really helps to know I'm in this alone. One really psoitive note today. I returned to work after 3 weeks away and a courier that hangs out behind our building (I've never noticed him before, but there are always couriers there) remarked to me, " You look great, you've lost some weight since I've seen you last! " I thanked him politely and told him that he really made my day. The whole time I was thinking, " You have no idea, my friend! " LOL Thanks and Peace, Trish
