(and I think we all know who it is....) If the product that Ray sells is so superior....then it should stand head and shoulders above the rest on it's own merits. What do he have to gain by attacking one merchant in particular? Is he perhaps feeling threatened? > > Seems to me that our labs and dexascans give us a clue on whether what we are doing is good or bad. If the dexascan shows osteopenia and taking X mgs of XYZ product result in an improvement.....well that says something for the product, doesn't it? Dear Sue (and other long term posties) I have learned a great deal from so many of you -- from Sue, I learned " calcium " and I don't know a dang thing about the " compound " of how it is made, where it comes from... or anything else -- What I know is that Sue got bad results on her bone scan taking X calcium, she posted " HER EXPERIENCE " and changed the " TYPE " of calcium she is taking and got much improved results -- that's all I need to know to ask Sue... what did you change to and where do I get it.... The " Personal Experience " and wealth of information that comes from our longer term post-op's who have " been there / done that " is what a " support group " means. Those who have been there " support " those of us who are going there with their personal experience. I'd like to ask... if Ray is going to continue on this line of posting attitude of being so professional that he take it to a medical group OR POST HIS OWN BONE SCAN RESULTS and which and when what calcium he was taking over the periods of time of his bone scans. Personally, I hate " smear campaigns " against a product or person being sold -- what I want to gain from " SUPPORT GROUPS " like this one is people's personal experience... when it comes to supplements -- show me your numbers, qualify what you were doing at the time previous to your numbers that affected the outcome of your results. What you changed and how your numbers changed as a result of.... As things stand now I haven't seen Ray post his numbers or personal experience and I really would like to see them although the efforts to smear another product in favor of the product one sells removes a great deal of credibility from that person -- that can change if a person is willing to GET REAL -- be one of us... post what does or does not work for you as an individual and let us decide if we want what you have or not. I don't read this list to learn about who is selling what and in what form -- I am capable of clicking on links and doing research about labels and talking to manufacturers and all that jazz on my own -- what " I " need from a support group is HUMAN BEINGS who are willing to share the truth about where they've been, what happened, what they did to correct it and the results -- I DO want numbers -- numbers of a persons " personal " bone scan results, lab test results -- personal experience... I get " sold to " enough with the stupid " pop-up " windows of advertising that I sure don't want to be " sold to " on " support " group lists... I want personal support. I also believe the people here are clearly smart enough to know the difference ~smile~ we know when we are being " sold " to and we know when someone is sharing " what worked for me... " --- IOW, it isn't hard to dig through and delete the BS -- but on some issues, like this one has become... we just have to put on our boots to wade through it all. So, thank you Sue for posting your personal experience -- Today I get my 2 year lab's in and I'll post my numbers from the start and what I did when -- at the end of this month I get my bone scan and I'll post that too... in numbers of what my " personal experience " has been -- what worked and what failed and how I've adjusted over time to correct what was wrong. That is what those who came before me taught me and I strongly believe that that is what those who are coming behind me want to see... I dearly appreciate all those who are real and willing to put themselves " out here " in a real way -- just like you and me -- not " above " or " below " us but equally and caringly supporting each other... for all those people I am grateful. hugz, ~denise PS: Why don't we ever discuss the exact molecular break down of a different vitamin? Why is it always " calcium " that gets so discussed in such depth that I feel like I'm standing in a science lab? Why don't we discuss the exact nature of the B's for example? What each B vitamin is and does for us and how much of which kind we need? And in what form and what company is mis-labeling their B products? Or ... why not iron? I have to ask myself... why is it always Calcium that is discussed in this manner?
