Guest guest
Carol, After my father's death last week, my sisters and I set up a charitable foundation to raise money specifically for research into causes and treatments of MSA. In the six days since we set up the foundation, we have had a tremendous response, mostly from friends and professional associates of our father's. It is our intention to continue to raise funds, and we're planning a number of fundraising activities. Although we have received donations from people all over the country, currently our focus is local but we would like to expand that in the near future. It would be great if groups in different parts of the country could raise funds. While none of us has access to millions, if several of us raise smaller sums in our own towns, we can make a difference. I think your idea of a large group of us working together is great! The more people we have raising money, the more we can do. My sisters and I have already done all the legal paperwork to set up the foundation, and through my father's professional connections have access to many legal and financial advisors, all willing to work on a volunteer basis. We would be happy for our foundation to be the conduit that you mentioned. Let's discuss ideas for how we can work together. It's probably best to keep the posts here " on-topic " , so anyone who is interested in this project can email me off-list. Thanks! in OK __________________________________________________
