Guest guest
Hi Deborah I am the same. I am lucky if my standing bp makes 50/30. I too am used to it. My body has somehow adapted to the new lows as they come. I have not taken any meds for bp. This is except for in the beginning 24 years or so ago. I was given Florinef which was all there was then. It didn't agree with me building up a lot of fluid in body and then the lungs so it had to be stopped. Probably the same as was happening with you Deborah. As far as dizzyness, falling and blackouts I had many more in the first couple of years than I do now with much lower bp than then. I can still walk around and do things at 50/30. Doctors are amazed but I can. I know what you mean Deborah when in hospital. I am always told not to get up or I will fall!! You should see their faces as I pass them in the corridors and wave!! LOL This I think is where the adaption came in with no meds. I would not recommend folks not taking meds it just worked for me. I asked recently when tiredness beacme worse if perhaps it was time to take meds but my nuero said no, that I might well stop the adaption that has occurred. I still have ocasional blackouts if my bp drops further but not nearly so often. When I get up from sitting a while I do have to scan the room or whatever to make sure the way is clear as for a second or so I have no sight. I forgot to do this a while ago and fell over the poor sleeping dog and broke my toe!! ) I didn't blackout just didn't look to see if the way ws clear. I guess if people dont know they wouldn't know I cant see as I have got used to keep on going until the sight comes back. My pulse can run from 40 to 120 just sitting. It is very erratic. I was tested for this recently for 24 hours but they didn't catch the low heart rate so I have to be re-tested. It is thought I should have a heart pace maker, but it is wait and see if they catch it next time. I am not in a rush for one after having the gastric pace maker a few months ago. Mind that has been brilliant and I have put on a stone in weight. Almost look human again!! ) Love to all from Aussie Anne > Seeing everyone post about their blood pressure readings makes me wish I had > a blood pressure...
