Guest guest
I don't want to say too much, but I have so much to say. But it boils down to an attitude, a feeling. I just feel cared for, cared about, by my friends, my village, my countrymen, and it helps to make a life more livable, and a feeling of being valued. OK its just state money, but its also the value your society puts on you. I can't help a nagging thought which concerns a report that 78% of people with a cerebellar ataxia also have a psychosis. I don't know if you discussed it here being a newbie to this group. See http://neuropsychiatryreviews.com/apr01/npr_apr01_cerebellar.html (note my security shows it loads some Javascript which may just be ads display, but it views ok with it stripped - maybe just a psychotic caution! but if you have an internet cleaner, here's when...) As no-one I know over here with FA seems depressed or abnormal, I wonder if the lack of support may account for a lot of depression. It is a US report. I know If they treated me like that I'd be b*****y depressed. Of course some people think I'm too happy, maybe manic without the depression, but I don't think its a problem. More like 'no brain' than a faulty one! But It can annoy some... Anyway I'd love to get some thoughts on this, comments etc. -- from Brine - brian@...> Written at 19:11:52 on 05-04-2002
