This isn't the wise thing to do, of > course, but it's a matter of letting those old " medicate depression with > food " habits back into your life. It's amazingly subtle, going from eating 2 > ounces of food to a foot-long sub. *********************************************** The thing here is certain foods I just can't eat. I did have to stretch my pouch several years ago because of getting way to thin. The key is that I have never overstretched it. I stop before being totally full. To me it is miserable to be FULL. I still love food. I can eat an entire ribeye steak or an entire chicken breast with veggies on the side. I can eat a sandwich with deli meat, lettuce, tomato, a slice of cheese, and maybe a couple of slices of cucumber. I can eat a baked potato including the skin. I don't very often since it is basically null in nutritional value but I can. I can't eat french fries. I think it is the texture. I cannot eat hamburger. It always revisits if I do. Now ground pork is a little easier and ground turkey is no problem what so ever. As for stretching the pouch, I was told 2 cups of food a day, no matter what it is plenty for us females and 3 for males by my surgeon. I don't know how accurate that is but it seems great for me. I have enjoyed reading all the answers about eating hamburger. I'm sorry about the temptation ...lol. Didn't mean to cause that burger to call you. Can I make a suggestion? Next time bring a steak along with you. Slip it on the grill when no one is looking..lol. Get a bun to cover it, sneaking your steak out bite by bite. Do chicken or something else if you prefer. Hey Vicki, you can cook for me anyday. Dawn
