Guest guest
Vera, English gardens are so pretty. I am opting for a cottage garden affect. Like you I stick flowers in and if I don't like where they are I move them. I also move them if they don't like where I put them. I am still working on getting the 9 flowerbeds the way I want them. I have a lot of clay being in Georgia. I at first didn't get my soil prepared right and I was sticking flowers in. They don't always like Georgia clay so I have to redo the dirt in them. The 2 next to the house are doing well. I guess because I have been putting flowers in them the longest. I want more lavender this year. I love the smell of it. I went out about 3 days ago and was removing the dead and I haven't been able to do anything since then. It is so hard to be sick and do like I use to. I have to keep them going though because my husband said when it gets to where I can't he is getting rid of the flowerbeds. I have been the only one to do the flowers. No one else in my house wants to do them. I love flowers so much. I have glads coming up everywhere even where I haven't planted them. I love glads though in vases because they last so much longer than other flowers. I love zinnas the small variety. They are so pretty and multiply so nicely as well vincas. I havent been to the nurseries yet because we still have some cold weather. I am anxious to see what they are show casing this year. So that is what I am doing right now with my land. We also have a lot of hills that I have to deal with. Even though my kids say there is nothing to do, I never seem to see that there is nothing to do. Of course, when I mention to them what needs to be done they scatter and I don't see them for a while. hehe Sometimes that is a blessing!
