Guest guest
We are fortunate enough to have a large wheel chair accessible shower with a fold down bench. While Terry is not yet at the wheelchair stage, she has become walker dependent due to her gait and balance instability. We recently had an Occupational Therapist do a safety evaluation of our home. [This is recommended for anyone who has not done it. Medicare will cover it if the doctor orders it.] The OT recommended a shower mat and direct supervision of Terry's shower activities. Most shower mats are sized for bath tubs and smaller showers. Our need is for something larger - at least two feet by three feet in size. I have explored a number of local alternatives and the Internet with no luck so far. Has anyone had any experience in this area or can offer any tips?
