Hi all: I have a question..what determines when a patient needs to be

catherized or wear diapers? Bob has had a few accidents in the last

couple of weeks. He said he couldn't to get to the urinal in time. I

don't know whether this is an excuse, or if he is becoming incontinent.

Thanks for your answers. Regards, jerrie

Jerrie,

Yes this is a common problem with MSA. I would say that if it is happening

and he is willing to wear a brief, wear it. If he is not willing to wear

one, then you have to consider other means of control.

Take care, Bill Werre
