Guest guest
for anyone who is interested (cant do this mineself, it would take several yrs of saving just to GET to Boston lol) in bringing attention to this issue at DAN! conference this could work well. set up a booth OUTSIDE the conference rooms... name it " the Enzymes that DAN!does not want you to know about.. step right up and find out why " that would be a curiosity.. people would go to see what it was all about... and the booth would be free... and you would have everyone who goes to the DAN! conference walking right past your booth, they couldnt miss it if it was just outside the front doors.... the labels, 'name tags' idea is excellent! and then the person could have literature, such as the parents report, or something smaller and direct persons to this group. when there is a will there is a way... it would be sort of like the idea of the " alternative summit " when the protesters set up meetings at those world trade summits.... minna > *Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean people aren't against you.* > I can't say I Know allot about this issue, and we are not going to this > con., but it seems that the important moral issue here is that parents going > to this conference looking for help for their kids will not be informed of > all their options for treatment.(and paying big $$$$ for the privilege) > Perhaps someone can come up with some way to get around this. I know > that DAN will not allow literature to be distributed at the conference, but > I don't see how they could stop people from distributing it privatly...... > Also could stickers be made that say HELLO MY NAME IS:............MEMBER OF: > ENZYMESANDAUTISM.COM Many home computer systems w/printers could do this. > That would at least get the name out there and give people an opportunity to > ask questions. If their are enough group members going to the conference it > may also get the message across to the DAN guys. > Just throwing out some ideas-- G. > PS: don't forget that people espousing conspiracy theories often sound like > wackos to everyone else. After all, ignorance is bliss, if only for as long > as it can be maintained. Also, don't forget to blame the victim, and trust > the government/Doctors/religious leaders, since they know what's > ***EEYUCK...Hal has just arrived at my side with a poopy diaper trailing > from one ANKLE!! Guest guest
Setting up associated meetings are called Satellite Conferences and they are very legitimate and done all the time. Thanks everyone. We will just keep at it. In spite of all the non- help we get from every growing Establishment. Dana wrote that the best products don't always win, it is who has the good marketing and dollars, and here Kirkmans wins handsdown. They roll in adjectives, just like Martha . She can make shoveling manure sound like a refreshing walk through the glorious autumn countryside. Don't get me wrong, some of the the products are good, but some are not that great and I have gone round and round with them many times when they wanted me to say certain things about their supplements or " overlook " other things. I just have to question EVERYTHING now. Especially since they are marketing their enzymes with the parents' data which wasn't even on their products (by their request by the way, Kirkman didn't want the parents testing their stuff will all foods). Dana wrote: " Dave Humphrey of Kirkman Labs is an attorney, so I sincerely doubt he would do anything which would blatantly subject his company to litigation. " However, we all know that court is not as much about being right as about having winning odds and having a slick arguement. And the odds are very well known that Kirkman has a ton of money and I don't, having given up my regular work to focus on enzyme work for a year. Their senior technician told me last October that money isn't a concern for them, they have so much that they just moved into a nice building twice as big and could go the next 5 years without selling anything else. I was stunned and thought, " Then why are your enzymes the most expensive and couldn't you drop the price a few bucks for the parents. " With that kind of buying power, you can own a fair share of the biomedical autism industry. Yes, I did copyright the data and the entire report BUT, there is no money to enforce it and everyone involved knows it. Just let people know what's going on, that's what we can do. Well, my next post will be back to something useful! .
Guest guest
what i have figured after years of dog fighting various things, is that you are just better to avoid it and keep moving ahead the net is a major thing that empowers indivduals comapared to corporate might copyrights are a lost cause patents are not. the thing to watch is unfriendly patent action by graspingcorps as they try to lock out or even steal others work. microsoft and other companies recently tried this in the software arena by claiming patents on software implementations whcih is a load of nonsesnse since software is by it nature exremely co-dependent. however they were unsuccessful i think the nature of the medium defeated them, it may be that supplements are the same, everything is so co-dependent that it can't be done. we could simply be at the dawn of a new age of empowerment of individuals at the expense of oppressivecorp whici is really a restoration of the staus quo to before the turn of the century or the industrial revolution where technology amplfyed social/commercial/political abilites at the expense of individuals. so it maybe they are already beaten, so pick your targets for remedial action carefully and time is often better spent progressing your own knowledge and experience, thats what makes the difference in the end. though the secretin patent did definetly slow secretin devlopment drastically. all those stupid parents who bought shares in the company. > " Dave Humphrey of Kirkman Labs is an attorney, so I sincerely doubt > he would do anything which would blatantly subject his company to > litigation.
