Ruthie, I'm not sure if you'll construe this the right way or the wrong way

(but as I haven't seen a picture of you I can't possibly be judging you!)

but I have never forgotten something that Barbara Cartland said once:

" You can either stay slim for ever, or have a beautiful youthful face and

sit down all the time " - well, that was the gist anyway!

(wrinkles aren't a particular problem for me but at pushing 38 I still have

spots!)

Anneliese and lovely Toddler Tim (sometimes - a bit of breathholding this

week but lovely and chatty!)

Re: Missing DS.

For a moment I rationalised the compliment inside my head, into " yea

well it's cos I'm fat, and fat women have less wrinkles " , but I

decided to just enjoy it for what it was! :))

Yes I think what she said was " at a certain age you have to choose

between your face and your figure. I chose my face and stayed sitting

down " .

There's a pic of me on my website, admittedly not full length.

Tell me about it!

I went out for lunch with The Girls on Wednesday lunchtime. Each one

of us had a major spot somewhere on our cheek/chin. Our ages - 33, 36

and 36!

Bill,

I'll look for the message about the upcoming meeting. Last time, I printed

and kept the directions to the Moller's so I'm all set with that.

I really respect your experience and knowledge regarding the PEG, Thanks

for the advice. And Jim has had physical as well as speech therapy. He is

doing very well keeping on with the physical exercises but has gotten lax

with the speech exercises--how bad is that? Hope to meet you soon.

Blessings,

Mamie

Mamie,

I would not take the PEG out. He can eat even with the tube in and liquids

and

medicines go better through the tube than by mouth. On early infections,

patients often bounce back well with physical and speech therapy. It does get

more difficult to bounce back as time goes on.

We have a going group in the DC area and hope to meet again this month. We

have

been meeting at the Moller's who live just across the Cabin Bridge in

land, near Model Basin. We generally chat about caregiving

problems and what to do. I will put a note on the list later this week if we

decide to have a meeting this month.

Take care, Bill Werre
