Guest guest
Hi everybody! My name is Debbie and I live near Rochester, NY. I am 47, married, with one son who will turn 16 three weeks from today. I had lap RNY on August 2 of last year by Dr. O'Malley. I have lost about 100 pounds so far and hope to lose 40 or 50 more. I am a member of the Rochester support group run by " Alice in NY " who posts on here. I am so grateful to her for starting the support group, if I hadn't gone to the meetings and met so many successful WLS patients I might not have had the courage to have the operation myself. And now, from that support group, I have a whole bunch of the best friends I've ever had! I've been reading posts here for quite awhile (although not ALL of them) and feel like I know some of you. I also read the Planet OSSG posts but there are WAY too many of them for me to keep up! I work out at a fitness center four times a week, and the other days I have a treadmill and weights and stuff and try to do something for exercise. I have a hard time with carbs, some days it seems that's all I want to eat. I dump on sugar but I can usually go as high as 15 to 20 grams before I dump, so at least I have to watch it and limit them, which is helpful. Thanks to all of you for so much good information, and I look forward to posting here again occasionally, now that I'm " legal " ! (I was counting the days until I could post, which officially was yesterday, but I was too busy to even turn on the computer yesterday!) " FarAwayDeb " highest weight: 360+ day of surgery: 337 today: 237 goal: 180 (but anything under 200 will be great!)
