Never used buckwheat, but I made several in different sizes using flax

seeds mixed with a small amount of lavender. They mold to you so

well. I keep one in my coat pocket when I go out, so I can lightly

squeeze (promote bloodflow). They can likewise be heated up in the

microwave, or kept in the freezer. Most bulk food stores here carry

flaxseed (the lavender is optional).

Has anyone in living BC with Shy-Dragers had a sleep study ordered for

them?? There seems a lot of reluctance to do one, because MSA is

thought of as no cure, no treatment. I'm averaging 4 hours a night for

over three years now and help thinking they should do a little poking

around to see why I don't ever get sleepy and just end up knocking

myself out with sedatives for four hours out of every 24.

Does anyone else have a disturbed sense of time (knowing how near or

far a given appointment is or was, time passes too slowly or fast?)

You can also use rice sewn into a fabric bag. It can be heated in the

microwave as well. I have a neck pillow with rice and some herbs. Every

time I heat it up it smells so good - just like rice pudding - that my mouth

starts to water and I have to have dessert! :-)
