Pat:

I too did not take possession of the hospital bed or the transport

chair when the rental ran out because of the possibility of needing repairs.

Medicare paid for the repair insurance, and both the chair and the bed needed

repairs. The motor on the bed did indeed wear out and needed to be replaced.

This would have been a big expense if I had to pay it. I figured that when

ken no longer needed these items, I would be glad to send them back to the

Agency, and if I ever need any of them, I will get a new one through Medicare

at no cost to me.
