Guest guest
This happened for months, then I read something about 5-HTP which is available at GNC (and other health food stores I'm sure). It's griffonia bean extract and it helped me sleep again. It's sold as 5-HTP though. It's useful for other things also - you can check it out on the web. It's good stuff and natural too! Judi from Maine 280/170/150 That sounds like it is worth checking out. I prefer mother nature over what these doctors prescribe for me. I have to say I have tried the warm milk, sleepytime tea, crackers etc without any luck, but I'll have to try the 5-HTP. Guest guest
Hi Judi and welcome! I have exactly the same problem, also thinking mine was related to menopause. Thank you for the heads-up on 5-HTP, will have to check it out. But, something has also occurred to me, and for those of us that feel we're pretty much in control of our emotions, it may be a new road we're traveling, but I've recently realized my sleep problems started right after 9/11. There have been a number of studies indicating that since that day, approximately 60% of Americans are having problems sleeping. I wonder. in NJ ********************************************* In a message dated 9/17/2002 7:46:34 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Judi.Fish@... writes: > I have also had a disruptive sleep pattern since about 2-3 months out from > surgery. Guest guest
I've been having good luck with Omega-3 fatty acids. I use the OmegaBrite brand, sold at drugstores and www.omegabrite.com They tweaked the ratios to optimize the mood enhancing qualities of the stuff. in Austin RNY April 1998 Re: Intro and sleep
