Guest guest
Meri: I remember the first time I realized I had a lap. We were sitting in a Japanese restaurant and I was so excited that I fit in the booth with plenty of room to spare. Was so used to having my boobs rest on the table. Anyway, I put my napkin on my lap and as I was doing so, the look on my face changed and my husband asked me what was wrong. I looked at him and said, " Oh my God I have a lap!! " We both just started laughing. It may seem silly to most people, but it was a big thing for me and apparently you too. Congrats. You'll be discoving so much more on your journey. Guest guest
I remember the first time I realized that I also had a lap again. My daughter climbed up to sit with me and we suddenly both realized that she wasn't slipping off like before. I actually had a lap that she could sit on now! It was wonderful!! I also remember a couple of months after having my surgery when I looked down at my feet and saw pretty, slim ankles - something I hadn't seen for many years! All I can remember seeing was puffy feet and things that looked like tree stumps that my feet were hooked onto. Needless to say, it was quite a shock! LOL It's funny how the littlest things in life give us the greatest joy. Hugs, Jerri in MI
