Hi Pam,

Yes, this is the paper I was speaking about. And, I believe Dr. Lee

indicated in his email that his work would require funding from National

Institutes of Health (NIH) in order to go forward and that he did have an

application pending at that time. I have apparently deleted his email

address, but I will try to locate it and send him a follow-up inquiry to see

where his funding/research stands now that a year or two has passed. The

email responses he returned to me were very thoughtful regarding his

commitment to this topic. I hope he had success in his grant application.

I do wonder and you may have an idea, when he speaks of ataxia (which I

believe is related primarily to the cerebellar system) does maybe preclude

the possibility that this IGF-1 research will be beneficial to the

" multi-systems " that we are concerned with?
