Guest guest
Hi Pam, Yes, this is the paper I was speaking about. And, I believe Dr. Lee indicated in his email that his work would require funding from National Institutes of Health (NIH) in order to go forward and that he did have an application pending at that time. I have apparently deleted his email address, but I will try to locate it and send him a follow-up inquiry to see where his funding/research stands now that a year or two has passed. The email responses he returned to me were very thoughtful regarding his commitment to this topic. I hope he had success in his grant application. I do wonder and you may have an idea, when he speaks of ataxia (which I believe is related primarily to the cerebellar system) does maybe preclude the possibility that this IGF-1 research will be beneficial to the " multi-systems " that we are concerned with?
