Guest guest
Seems I read on this list some time back about someone having difficulty breathing and it was perhaps caused by a hernia......... For the past few weeks now, I have noticed at times that I just don't seem to get enuf air in my lungs. I hesitate to call it difficulty breathing, or even shortness of breath. It's not quite that severe. I guess I'd call it a discomfort of sorts. Mentioned it to my pcp and she asked me if I've been stressed lately. And yes, I have been. But then, with my type A personality, I'd guess I'm probably so stressed all the time, I just don't even notice it anymore, LOL. I notice it whether I'm sitting down or standing up, but definitely seem more aware of it at certain times, like, for instance, bending over the sink slightly, peeling vegetables. Or parked at the keyboard. (Sending/reading emails is definitely high stress ~ grin). But the other day, I was just sitting on a park bench in the sun, and it bothered me. Other times I'm just not aware of it at all. It's weird. I'm planning this week to contact at least one p/s to make an app't for a consult re hernia repair, panniculectomy, abdominoplasty, (and anything else I could get done at the same time). Should I ask my pcp to first order a catscan or mri or lung scan or whatever? Or wait and see what the p/s has to say? Thanks, Carol A
