I was just wondering about this because I just got my B-12 levels

back and the doctors office says there normal. Good thing I asked

what my number was because its at the low end of normal. The range

is 210-911 and mine now is 242. Now I have to start the shots once

a month fun. I can see how fast it goes down because a year and a

half ago it was 398. Good thing I asked for the specific numbers

because they just told me it was normal. I am a little over three

years out and hope the shots will be enough to get the levels back

up. I am trying to get a copy of all my labs but they just brushed

me off saying well every thing is normal. Normal for me or at the

low end of the charts??? That's another question. I know that the

type of anemia you get when B-12 levels are low is bad. I am

wondering if the flashing lights I see is related to this too. I

was told it was due to occular migraines the kind you get with no

headache thank goodness. I am susposed to see a neuro-

opthalamologist soon anybody else seen one? I did see a retinal

specialist but there's no tear or detachment. Just the constant

flashing dots in my right eye only. Makes no sense started in Feb

now I have up to 10 episodes a day. See them when I wake up go to

bed doesn't matter. I thought it could be blood sugar related since

my hypoglycemia has come back but I've tested that theory many

times. Oh well I'll get answers one of these days. By the way my

blood sugar is either always low are normal so... it really can't be

that because I see them when it's normal too.

Just curious,

Kristy
