Guest guest
I was on a while back and unsubbed cause of list traffic.... I had my RNY on April 11th 2001 at 306lbs. I reached goal weight (155lbs lost) after 10 months and am now down to 146 and consider my self done for the most part. I'm back because I'm about to go back to college to get my personal training certification. I'd like to take our post-op issues in to class and see if I can't learn a little more about what goes on with our new physiology. I've been doing weightlifting myself for the last 8 months and have seen amazing results because of it. I have to admit I had/have great genes lurking under my wraps of fat that I was able to take advantage of, but I'd like to pass my experience on to others. I plan on specializing in pre and post-WLS patients as well as the MO who aren't planning on having surgery. I hope that my past experience helps make my clients comfortable along the way. I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't keep my pannus " Fred " so that when someone eyeballs me sideways when I say " I've been there " I can show off that skin and allay all doubts. Nah, maybe pictures will do Anyway, here's what I originally had to say below! http://www.eradain.com/apoplexy
