Guest guest
Cindy I have been digging and reading everything I can get my hands on regarding Alzheimer's and any type of dementia. It seems there are several different types which they try to identify by where they start in the brain and what part of it they destroy. It seems like they are trying to group some of them together like they have with MSA. Another thing I've noticed is they talk about ALS becoming part of the disease at times and since we know that ALS seems to be linked in at times with the same types of problems as MSA. It's really confusing but they seem to be trying to gain some ground with all of them. They are finding mutations on some of the genes which they have connected to some of the diseases but these areas are so new I don't think they really know enough yet to know for sure what is happening. I too am concerned about my family as my grandmother had something close to this and her sisters had something that could have been similar but yet I don't remember anyone going through what mother is doing now. I'll keep you updated on anything else I find. Sally
