Has anyone here ever heard that you shouldn't have a panniculectomy

done if you are planning to get pregnant? I'm 30, considering the

panni, but haven't had kids yet. Is it a waste of money to have the

plastic surgery before I have kids?

Thanks.

Dear ,

I have had plastic surgery and I wouldn't want to get pregnant after

the tummy tuck. The skin is tight and it would be very

uncomfortable. Also you'd most likely stretch out all the skin

again. They recommend you don't gain weight afterwards either for

that very reason. Have the babies then get the plastics if at all

possible. Some even get c-sections (if deemed necessary) and just

get the skin pulled tight then.

Hi I am 28 and have ahd 2 kids since I had a r-n-y bypass and a tummy tuck, I

had the r-n-y back in 97 then in 98 I had a tummy tuck, even though I was on the

pill I became pregnant. I was varied dissappointed. I would not recommend it

after a tummy tuck, I stayed in the hospital for the last 3 months of pregnancy

due to premature labor. They were never able to prove this but the Drs did have

suspecion that my stomach was streching enough because of that so it could of

put me in premamture labor. You really couldn't even tell I was pregnant. I

only gained like 9 lbs. The second one everything was fine, now I am struggling

to be happy at my weight of 175 lbs at 5-3. Sometimes I regret that I got

pregnant but I made a choice and I have 2 beautiful boys. I am happy that I am

not 280 lbs so about 100lbs lighter I should be thankful---Dawn
