Guest guest
Pam, I do have to learn not to read ur messages before I am heading for bed lolol because ur postings usually are of interest to me. As for the book 'Saving Milly', my husband and I both read it. I was relieved that Milly's husband wrote that book, because people of all walks of life are affected when it comes to an terrible illness. But the happy times do put on some smiles. Peg is a really nice lady. I had the pleasure of being with PLWP on it's first anniversary at the Kentucky State Park (read april 2. A weekend that my husband and I will never forget. People from all over the world at a state park helping each other out when they could, lecturers, music, ect. Many of us from PLWP were in NYC for the walk (2000) which was posponed until April of this year from Sept, 2001. Joan Synder (chilicothe, Ill.) is having a Parkinson Walk and Roll in May, 2002. She also is in PLWP. One of the things I love about Joany is that she has this little store called 'jitterbug' which sells handcrafted items ( many from people with Parkinson's) and the money gets donated for parkinsons. My husband has a conference in New Brunswick, Ca. at the beginning of June and he gets his papers ready the week before, so once again I probably won't be able to go. Anyway ....many people of various talents are in PLWP. Both of these ladies Peg and Joan are pretty down to earth people. That is what most nice about them. Sandy too. nancy m.
