Guest guest
I think the poll is an interesting idea but don't really think there is a number that will work for everyone. I think it is imperative that children have finished growing since so much of our minerals and vitamins are not absorbed. I hate to think of my daughter not having as much bone density before she has surgery as she can. I say that like her having surgery is a forgone conclusion, but being that of my four children, she is the only one with a problem. (at age 8 she is 150 pounds, I think she got her mama's obesity gene). I hate that for her but am going to support her no matter what she ends up doing or being in her life. I don't care, but I do know the pain..... blah blah blah..... (another list, I know .... But..... I am thinking that there is so much as far as mental and physical hardship that goes with surgery, it is something that should be thought of on an EXTREMELY individual basis rather than a set age. Thank for letting me rant. 1/19/00 322/150 holding steady for two years now.......
